Biomorphic Solid Wood Sculptural Bench - Hand-Carved Fluid Form Art Settee
Guaranteed safe & secure checkout
Transform your interior into an art gallery with our Biomorphic Solid Wood Sculptural Bench. Hand-carved from a substantial mass of genuine timber, this museum-grade accent settee balances continuous liquid contours with ergonomic support, proving that functional everyday seating can serve as fine modern sculpture.
The Presence of Authentic Solid Wood
- Natural Grain & Rich Heartwood: Handcrafted entirely from 100% genuine solid timber without synthetic veneers, displaying prominent swirling growth rings, organic knot eyes, and a warm honey-amber luster.
- Seamless Hand-Sculpted Contours: Every flowing edge, rounded arm crest, and open back aperture is shaped and sanded silky-smooth by hand, preserving the living character and authentic tactile warmth of real wood.
Why Choose This Piece: Sculptural Form Meets Utility
- Functional Living Sculpture: Features a contoured horizontal seat that provides comfortable, grounded seating for two while anchoring the room like a standalone museum installation.
- Continuous Liquid Architecture: The fluid backrest void and sweeping legs create captivating negative space, casting dynamic natural shadows throughout the day.
- Monolithic Floor Stability: Carved with heavy, grounded foot bases that sit flush against polished concrete, tile, or hardwood floors without requiring additional brackets.
Ideal Placements
- Grand Foyers & Gallery Spaces: Serves as a commanding centerpiece in expansive entrance halls, minimalist art corridors, or alongside floor-to-ceiling glass walls.
- Curated Modern Interiors: Complements open-plan living rooms, luxury master suites, and commercial boutique lounges styled in Organic Modern, Japandi, Wabi-Sabi, or Contemporary Brutalist aesthetics.
Honest Limitations
- Living Timber Traits: Because genuine solid wood naturally breathes, subtle color shifts, authentic grain swirls, and minor seasonal movement are natural hallmarks of authentic timber.
- Substantial Weight: Due to the dense volume of authentic solid wood, this bench carries considerable weight; two or more people are recommended when lifting and positioning.
Custom Dimensions & Thickness
- Custom Length & Height: Fully made to order to match specific foyer widths, bench seating depths, or wall alcove proportions.
- Adjustable Slab Thickness: Built with a sturdy standard carving thickness for optimal structural support; custom thicker profiles for a bolder mass or slimmer silhouettes can be accommodated upon request (thickness adjustments incur an extra fee).

Furniture Placement
- Position your furniture away from direct sunlight, or use blinds or curtains to reduce sun exposure.
- Always set your furniture on a level surface to preserve its balance and structure.
Cleaning & Upkeep
- Regularly wipe down your furniture with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia, as these can ruin the finish and damage the wood.
Weight Capacity & Use
- Respect the recommended weight limit for each piece to ensure its durability.
- When moving furniture, lift it instead of dragging or pushing to prevent surface scratches or joint damage.
Preventing Mold & Mildew
- Quickly wipe up any spills to stop moisture from penetrating the wood.
- In areas with high humidity, use a dehumidifier to maintain an ideal moisture balance.
