Description

Two golden mushroom caps glow beside the crib, one tall and wide above the baby's head, one smaller and lower near the reading stool where you sit with a picture book open in your lap. The sculpted log stem between them catches the warm light on its knots and grain ridges, casting soft shadows across the stuffed fox, the crocheted bear, and the sleeping child's blanket. You turn the dimmer down. The upper cap fades to a soft golden night light. The lower cap goes dark. The room settles. The story is over. The mushrooms keep watch.

Sculpted Branch Log Stem

The stem is a solid wood log with the bark stripped away by hand, leaving the natural surface texture intact. Knot holes where branches once grew appear as dark, round eyes along the trunk. Grain ridges run vertically in long, flowing lines. The wood is warm golden honey in tone, sanded smooth enough for small hands to touch safely but textured enough to look and feel like a piece of the forest. A natural branch extends from one side at roughly two-thirds height, providing the mounting point for the lower cap. The branch is part of the original log. All edges, branch tips, and knot rims are rounded smooth. No sharp points anywhere a child could reach.

Two Gill Glow Caps

The upper cap crowns the top of the stem in a wide parasol shape, spreading outward and slightly downward at the rim. The lower cap sits on the branch, smaller and more bell-shaped, angled toward the reading area. Both caps are polished smooth in warm golden tones with flowing grain and natural color variation. Underneath both caps, hand-carved gill lines radiate from the center outward to the rim. Built-in LEDs in each cap project warm light through the carved channels.

The upper cap fills the nursery corner with soft ambient light. The lower cap directs a warmer, closer glow onto the reading stool and the book in your hands. Both caps dim independently. Set the upper cap to its lowest setting for a golden night light that watches over the crib. Turn the lower cap to reading brightness for storytime. Turn both to medium for a warm, even glow during play time on the rug.

Child-Safe Design

Every surface is rounded smooth with no sharp edges, points, or rough bark that could scratch or splinter. The non-toxic natural oil finish is food-safe. The LED strips run cool to the touch with no exposed bulbs, no hot glass, and no breakable components. The live edge base is wide and heavy, creating a low center of gravity that resists tipping even if a toddler pulls on the stem or leans against it. The cord exits from the back of the base and routes behind furniture or through a cord cover.

Live Edge Slab Base

The base is a thick slab of natural wood with the live edge preserved around its perimeter. The flat top and bottom surfaces are sanded smooth. The irregular organic shape extends well beyond the stem on all sides, providing stable weight and a wide footprint on the nursery floor. A non-slip felt pad protects the hardwood underneath.

Placement

Built for a nursery beside the crib and reading chair, a toddler's bedroom, a playroom reading corner, or a children's library nook. The dual caps provide storytime reading light (lower cap on, upper cap dim), play time ambient light (both caps medium), overnight night light (upper cap lowest, lower cap off), and full room light (both caps bright). Also works in a family living room or a master bedroom where the warm dual glow and storybook silhouette create a cozy, whimsical atmosphere.

Care

Wipe caps and stem with a slightly damp cloth. Reapply wood oil once a year with a non-toxic formula. Dust the stem texture with a soft brush. LED components need no maintenance. Keep cord secured away from small children. The live edge base may develop minor surface changes over time, which adds character.

Handcrafted by Vietnamese artisans. The branch log is selected by hand for its natural fork placement and grain character. Both caps are turned and carved individually. Every gill line is cut by hand. No molds. No CNC machines. No two lamps will ever look the same.

Care & Maintenance

Furniture Placement

Position your furniture away from direct sunlight, or use blinds or curtains to reduce sun exposure.
Always set your furniture on a level surface to preserve its balance and structure.

Cleaning & Upkeep

Regularly wipe down your furniture with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth.
Avoid using harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia, as these can ruin the finish and damage the wood.

Weight Capacity & Use

Respect the recommended weight limit for each piece to ensure its durability.
When moving furniture, lift it instead of dragging or pushing to prevent surface scratches or joint damage.

Preventing Mold & Mildew

Quickly wipe up any spills to stop moisture from penetrating the wood.
In areas with high humidity, use a dehumidifier to maintain an ideal moisture balance.
