Description

A mushroom the size of a child stands in the corner of your living room. The wide cap glows warm amber from underneath, hundreds of hand-carved gill lines fanning golden light across the wall, the floor, and the armchair beside it. The thick trunk is carved from a single massive block of solid wood, with hand-hewn chisel marks running vertically down the surface like the natural fiber splits of a real mushroom stipe. A live edge wood slab sits at the base, wide enough for your cat to curl up on.

Monumental Carved Trunk

The trunk is not assembled from pieces. It is carved from one continuous block of solid wood, selected for its diameter, grain, and structural integrity. The surface is shaped with hand tools to create long, vertical fiber lines that run from the base to the cap, mimicking the natural texture of a giant mushroom's stipe. The chisel marks are deliberate and visible, giving the trunk a hand-hewn character that machine-sanded surfaces cannot replicate. Natural knots and grain shifts appear on the surface where the original tree's growth pattern created them.

Wide Dome Cap with Gill Glow

The cap is a broad, heavy dome that overhangs the trunk on all sides. The top surface is sanded smooth and shows the wood's natural grain in warm honey-to-amber tones, with visible knots and color shifts. Underneath, hundreds of tight gill lines are carved by hand, radiating from the center outward to the rim. The built-in LED strip sits at the junction of cap and trunk, shining outward through the carved channels. The warm 2700K light fans through the gills in a wide sunburst, casting golden rays across the room. The cap is large enough to function as a primary room light, not just an accent. Dimmable from full brightness to low ambient glow.

Hand-Hewn Surface Texture

The entire trunk surface is finished with controlled chisel work rather than smooth sanding. The vertical lines catch light and shadow differently depending on the time of day and the viewing angle. In the morning, sunlight rakes across the ridges and highlights the grain. In the evening, the gill glow from above creates warm vertical shadows down the trunk surface. This texture is what separates a carved sculpture from a turned spindle.

Live Edge Slab Base

The base is a thick, irregular slab of solid wood with the natural bark edge or live edge left intact around the perimeter. The top surface is sanded smooth. The slab extends beyond the trunk on all sides, creating a wide, stable footprint. The organic shape of the slab means no two bases share the same outline.

Placement

Built for a living room corner beside a sofa or reading chair, a master bedroom as a sculptural night light, a home library as the room's focal point, a large entryway or foyer, or a boutique hotel lobby. This lamp replaces both a floor lamp and a piece of art. It fills vertical space, anchors a seating area, and starts conversations.

Care

Wipe the polished cap with a slightly damp cloth. Dust the trunk texture with a soft dry brush. Reapply wood oil once a year. The hand-hewn texture is sealed but retains its carved ridges. LED components need no maintenance. Avoid excessive moisture.

Handcrafted by Vietnamese artisans. The trunk is carved from a single block of solid wood over multiple days. Every gill line on the cap, every chisel mark on the trunk, every bark edge on the slab base is shaped by hand. No molds. No CNC machines. No two lamps will ever look the same.

Care & Maintenance

Furniture Placement

Position your furniture away from direct sunlight, or use blinds or curtains to reduce sun exposure.
Always set your furniture on a level surface to preserve its balance and structure.

Cleaning & Upkeep

Regularly wipe down your furniture with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth.
Avoid using harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia, as these can ruin the finish and damage the wood.

Weight Capacity & Use

Respect the recommended weight limit for each piece to ensure its durability.
When moving furniture, lift it instead of dragging or pushing to prevent surface scratches or joint damage.

Preventing Mold & Mildew

Quickly wipe up any spills to stop moisture from penetrating the wood.
In areas with high humidity, use a dehumidifier to maintain an ideal moisture balance.
