Description

A tree trunk rises from the floor beside your reading chair, bark intact, rough and ridged, just as it grew in the forest. At the top, a wide polished mushroom cap spreads outward like a canopy. Warm golden light fans through hundreds of hand-carved gill lines under the cap, filling the corner of the room with soft amber glow. The light falls on the chair, the side table, and the book in your lap without reaching the ceiling or the far wall. A floor lamp that looks like it grew in place.

Bark-On Tree Trunk Stem

The stem is a full section of solid tree trunk with the bark left on. The bark surface holds the cracks, ridges, lichen marks, and weathered texture that formed over decades of outdoor growth. No sanding, no stripping. The bark is cleaned, treated to prevent insect activity and shedding, and sealed with a clear protective coat. The inner wood is visible only where the trunk meets the cap at the top and the root base at the bottom, showing the contrast between pale heartwood and dark outer bark. Each trunk is selected by hand for its diameter, straightness, and bark character.

Wide Cap with Gill Glow

The cap is a broad dome carved from solid wood, sanded smooth, and polished to a warm golden satin. The diameter is wide enough to function as a real light source for a seating area. Underneath, hundreds of tight gill lines are carved by hand from the center outward to the rim. The built-in LED strip sits at the junction of the cap and trunk, shining outward through the carved channels. The warm 2700K light fans through each carved ridge in a sunburst pattern, projecting thin golden lines onto the floor and furniture below. Dimmable from full reading brightness to a low ambient glow.

Natural Root Base

The base of the trunk flares where the root system once began, creating a wider, heavier footprint. The root flare is left in its natural shape with bark intact, providing stable, weighted support on the floor without a separate metal base or platform. A felt pad on the bottom protects hardwood and tile floors.

Specifications

Material: Solid wood trunk (bark-on) + solid wood cap (polished)
Light: Built-in LED strip, warm white, dimmable
Power: Cloth-wrapped cord with inline foot dimmer
Trunk: Natural bark-on, cleaned, treated, and sealed
Cap: Polished dome with hand-carved gill detail
Base: Natural root flare with felt pad
Finish: Natural oil on cap. Clear seal on bark.

Placement

Built for a living room reading corner, bedroom beside an armchair, home office behind a desk, library nook, or entryway as a sculptural statement. The warm downward glow works as a primary reading light or an ambient accent. The tall profile fills vertical space without requiring a table or shelf.

Care

Wipe the polished cap with a slightly damp cloth. Reapply wood oil once a year. Dust the bark trunk with a dry brush. The bark may develop hairline cracks as it seasons indoors, which adds to the natural character. Avoid excessive moisture near electrical components. LED needs no maintenance.

Handcrafted by Vietnamese artisans. The trunk is sourced from naturally fallen or sustainably harvested trees. Every gill line on the cap, every inch of preserved bark, and every root flare curve is selected and finished by hand. No molds. No CNC machines. No two floor lamps share the same trunk shape, bark pattern, or gill carving.

Care & Maintenance

Furniture Placement

Position your furniture away from direct sunlight, or use blinds or curtains to reduce sun exposure.
Always set your furniture on a level surface to preserve its balance and structure.

Cleaning & Upkeep

Regularly wipe down your furniture with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth.
Avoid using harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia, as these can ruin the finish and damage the wood.

Weight Capacity & Use

Respect the recommended weight limit for each piece to ensure its durability.
When moving furniture, lift it instead of dragging or pushing to prevent surface scratches or joint damage.

Preventing Mold & Mildew

Quickly wipe up any spills to stop moisture from penetrating the wood.
In areas with high humidity, use a dehumidifier to maintain an ideal moisture balance.
